When you post a note it will always and immediately be available on Culinote. Everyone that follows you, will see your new note, even if it's not featured yet.
The notes on the "featured" page are ranked based on recency, engagement, and popularity.
Culinote uses a "computer engine" [algorithm] that organizes the notes onto the featured page; the engine runs every few hours (so its results are not immediate).
This engine bases its ranking of notes on:
- the recency of the note (how long ago it was posted)
- how many people viewed the note (page-views)
- how many people clicked on the note (popularity)
- how many "likes" a note gets (engagement)
- how many followers the notebook (to which the note belongs to) has
-
how many tags are in-common with other popular notes
Overtime if a note's popularity (compared to other notes) diminishes, new notes might take its place on the featured page.
